Delete your account

Effective 2026-09-14

This document is not ready to publish

The registered company name, address and governing jurisdiction have not been set, and this text has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Set LEGAL_ENTITY in apps/web/src/features/legal/content.ts and have the documents reviewed before launch.

You can delete your Raed account from inside the app at any time. It removes your personal details and sign-in permanently; payment and tax records are kept, without your details, for as long as the law requires.

1. Delete from the app

Deletion is immediate. You are signed out on every device and the email address is freed, so you can create a fresh account later if you wish.

  • Open Raed and go to the Account tab.
  • Scroll to Account → Delete account.
  • Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete my account.

2. If you cannot sign in

Write to [email protected] from the email address on the account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm it is you and action the deletion within 30 days.

3. Active plans and upcoming lessons

If you still have an active plan or an upcoming lesson — as a student, a parent, or a teacher — the app asks you to finish or cancel it first, so nobody is left with a paid class that silently disappears. Manage plans under Lessons, or write to us and we will close the account for you.

4. What is removed

  • Your name, email address, phone number, photo, date of birth, country, languages and time zone.
  • Your sign-in (password or Google link), every active session, and your devices' notification registrations.
  • Your learning goals, reading position, notifications and calendar link.
  • For parents: every child profile on the account, with the same fields removed.
  • For teachers: your public listing, bio, availability, subjects, recitation recordings and verification documents.

5. What is kept

Anything not listed here is deleted. Questions go to [email protected].

  • Payment and tax records, as the law requires — without your name or contact details.
  • Lesson and booking history needed for the other party's records, shown against "Deleted user".
  • Messages you sent stay in the other person's inbox, shown as "Deleted user".
  • Reviews you left, without your name.
